The weather outside may be chilly, but we’ve got the perfect trio to warm you up: pizza, football, and of course, delicious local beer. Take a look at what we have in store this week:

  • Just tap’d beer
  • Taproom Trivia
  • National Pizza Day deal
  • Spiteful Brewing prize party
  • Brushes and Brews paint ‘n sip
  • Super Bowl Sunday

Just Tap’d Beer

In the mood to try something new? We’ve got the perfect pick. Beskaar is a dark, toasty lager from our friends at Empirical Brewery. Here’s how they describe it:

Beskaar Dark Lager is a foundling based off of the traditional Schwarzbier style.  We toned down the roasted malts slightly to make it a bit more approachable for lager drinkers, thus calling it a Dark Lager instead of a Black Lager. Brewed with Pilsen, Munich, Chocolate Wheat and Roasted Barley and a heavy hand of Chinook hops. The beer drinks smooth, is light and easy drinking with a full bounty of flavor.

Taproom Trivia + National Pizza Day

Enjoy a win-win Wednesday with a National Pizza Day deal and Taproom Trivia.

This trivia night, see if you and your team have what it takes to reign supreme. Put your knowledge to the test as you compete for awesome prizes, and don’t forget to try out our weekly featured draft special (it pairs quite nicely with a cheesy slice—more on that below).

Trivia night kicks off at 7 pm, and we’re featuring trivia from Whaddayaknow, Chicago’s best pub trivia game.

To feed your brilliance, we’ll be celebrating National Pizza Day by serving up hot, delicious pies from Candlelite Chicago at only $10 a piece! Choose a cheese, pepperoni, or sausage pie, and we’ll deliver it to you hot from our pizza oven.

Spiteful Brewing Prize Party

This Friday, we’re celebrating our Brewery of the Month, Spiteful Brewing, with a prize party from 5:30 – 8:30 pm.

Simply order a Spiteful brew, and you can enter to win Spiteful swag and prizes throughout the evening. We’ll even have members of the Spiteful team on-site, ready to share a drink and some conversation.

Now your only problem is deciding which Spiteful beer to order. You’ll have options like…

Spiteful IPA – $6 Special!

Their flagship. Bold and bright Citra and Amarillo hop aromas remind you to drink this IPA fresh—and often.

Spiteful Lager

A crisp American Lager that’s brewed without rice or corn. Experimental German hops give this brew a hint of lemon to smooth out the finish. Highly drinkable and extremely refreshing, it’s the right beer for any occasion.

God Damn Maple Syrup Pigeon Porter

We’d be remiss if we didn’t invite you to learn about this brew straight from Spiteful’s adventurous description:

The war on pigeons has gone international. We suited up in Canadian tuxedos and headed north, equipped with traps baited by poutine and butter tarts. Irresistible food to the Canucks. That should work, eh? One by one the pigeons strutted into our traps, the plan worked perfectly. With the northern pigeon population greatly depleted, we made our way back into the lower forty-eight. While the surviving pigeons poured out some maple syrup for their homies, we brewed a batch of maple syrup pigeon porter for ours. Those hosers never stood a chance.
